Standardized Tests

Are you required to take standardized tests, such as Regents exams? Are you prepared? I feel as though Standardized Tests are very stressful, considering at our school the majority of the count as twenty percent of the overall average you earn in a class. At times, I feel more focused on the test rather than what I am actually learning in a class. Do you feel this way? Not only do I feel that is adds pressure to students, but also to teachers, they are taking valuable class time away to prepare for these exams, when a good number of the students don't remember anything about the subject by the end of the summer vacation. Let me know how you feel! -Kat

Is it Time For College Already?

Are you ready to leave home for college? Personally, I couldn't wait to graduate from High School, now I would take it all back. Thinking of leaving home, for at least four years, and be 100% on my own is a very scary thought. Along with all the decisions...Should I stay near by? Or should I go explore the world? Do you think you are ready to go away? If so, Where? -Kat

Edward Reid - Drama teacher singing children songs.

All I can say is that you need to watch this ... this man was on Britain's Got Talent and he sang songs such as Old McDonald Had A Farm, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star & Humpty Dumpty, but he sang it beautifully! I promise you'll be entertained.

How Many People Know You, For You?

Are you the same person around everyone you meet? Do you censor yourself towards friend's parents, teachers, etc.?
The truth is all of us have done it one time or another, you want that "first impression" to be great, no matter what it takes. Usually, there are one or two people in your life that know you, 100%, they know all those quirky moments you have had, to the times where you just needed someone to talk to.
But can you think of more than a handful of people that you can call true friends till' the end. I know it sounds goofy, but we should be able to be who we are, when we want to be.

We have all seen, and or heard about the people that follow this ideal of opening yourself to the world, but after they do this, people call them the weird ones..why?
They acted, and told the truth, why are they the ones criticized? -Kat F.
